Over the span of nearly 800 years, the Old Town has been home to more than twenty-five generations of residents. A deep imprint on its history has been left by its first inhabitants, who shaped the Old Town in ways which define it to this day. For the generations of people who lived and worked in Poznań, the city provided a place to achieve their goals, satisfy their needs, and pursue their dreams and ambitions. The residents worked tirelessly, aimed high and achieved a great deal. They constantly strove to make things better. Their rule in life was never to give up or settle for less, but rather to keep growing and keep seeking ways to improve their lives and the world around them. History proved them right, and their approach led them to achieve numerous successes.
